What we see in Titusville
About a third of Titusville homes were built before 1980, most of them in the older neighborhoods close to the river. New condos are going up on the few vacant lots left on the river, and new subdivisions are being built farther inland.
Near the river: American cockroaches from the seawalls and storm drains, subterranean termites in homes that outlived their original treatment, and roof rats in the older trees. We offer termite treatment for new, as well as older, homes in the area.
About one home in five is in an apartment or condo building, where German cockroaches can move between units. Farther inland, homes back onto woods and open land, and that is where fire ants, rodents, raccoons and opossums come from.
